Richburg Baptist Church was organized in 1914 with 13 Charter members. In 1915, Bro T.W. Green was called as the first Pastor. In 1936, Bro. Quincy Barrett became the Pastor and it was under his leadership that the church joined the Lebanon Association. It was also under Pastor Barrett's leadership that the first church building was constructed. In 1947 under the leadership of Pastor Gene Walley the church joined the Lamar Baptist Association. The church had grown from a membership of about 20 to over 180 under the leadership of Pastor Ray Grissett. It was under Pastor Grissett's leadership that the present sanctuary was constructed. It was in 1963 that the education part of the sanctuary building was started and it was completed in 1970.

In April 1977, Bro. Richard Miley was called as Pastor of Richburg Baptist Church and he remained until his retirement in 2000. Under Bro. Miley's leadership the new building was built. The church experienced much growth during the years of Bro. Miley's service as Pastor and now has a membership of over 520.

God has richly blessed Richburg Baptist Church throughout her history and continues to bless today.
